The front panel and spine of the book have drawings in red. Nice copy of this Pulitzer Prize winning novel. 269 pp. Laid in is a 3" X 5" card signed by the author in 1992. . Signed Card. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good +/Fine (Facsimile DW). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

A Bell for Adano is a film directed by Henry King starring John Hodiak and Gene Tierney. The film was adapted from the novel A Bell for Adano by John Hersey, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1945. The story concerns Italian-American U.S. Army Major Joppolo, who is placed in charge of the town of Adano during the invasion of Sicily.
