Paul Monette shares his story as a man growing up gay in the traditional tidy suburbs, schools, and universities of the 1960s and 70s.  It covers the first portion of his life, leading up to coming out of the closet, meeting his lover, and their diagnoses and struggles in dealing with AIDS.
