Many are here twice, one having been colored by the publishers as an example, and the other to be colored by the owner. Others are here only once, with a blank page next to them for the owner to reproduce the illustration and then color it. A couple of the drawings appear to have been colored already, but they were done SO well that I'm not completely sure of that. The book is housed in a box, which has sides and corners that are very worn, but both top and bottom are intact. Virtually impossible to find in the original box. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.  On the cover are a block of four 8-cents stamps and a Fleetwood lithographed cartouche.  Both the cartouche and the stamps feature the Statue of Liberty.  The postmark is April 9, 1954; so the signature obviously came later (that is usually the case with autographed first day covers).  We guarantee that the autograph is original and authentic.  The signature is bright and unfaded; the cover is clean, bright, and unwrinkled, with a thin rust line on the rear that has faintly bled through to the front..
