Illustrations by Paul J. Fennell, who worked as an animator for Walt Disney on Snow White, Three Little Pigs, etc. First Edition/First Printing. DJ has light shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (light chippping present to the extremities). Bound in cloth boards. No ownership marks present. Decorated endpapers. Text is clean and free of marks, binding tight and solid, boards lightly rubbed and worn. A post-war allegory for children about a bear, representing the threat of Communism, that lives behind an iron curtain. The author makes liberal use of puns. E-150; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
