Journalist Wolfert (he won the 1943 Puliter Prize for his reporting) was assigned to cover U.S. Army Air Corps B-17s in the Southwest Pacific. He flew with a Flying Fortress crew. He writes well, but his slant credits too much to the plane and tends to ignore other services (The Marines had their own reporters turning out stories.) Stock# 30,686.
