Novelty type style imitating crude hand printing. In wildly misspelled southern mountain dialect, the Powers present hillbilly wisdom in the form of "sayin's" and jokes. Example: "An idle rumor shore ain't a'gonna stay idle fur long." The maxims emphasize the value of hard work and avoidance of gossip. Size: 8vo -- 8.5 In Tall.
