A photographic study of Ballet performers in the 1930s.Featuring a photographic frontispiece of Mathilde Kschesinska (aka Princess Romanovsky-Krasinsky), prima ballerina assoluta of the Maryinsky Ballet. 241 p. : incl. mounted frontis., mounted plates, mounted portraits. ; 33 x 26 cm. Contains 95 full page photographs. The ballet companies featured are: The De Basil Ballet, Rene Blum's Company, The Ballet Jooss and The Vic-Wells Ballet. An extremely good quality item in a very nicely bound cloth, quater bound in White and Red. Excellent condition. Tightly bound, clean, very minor evidence of foxing to a few early pages. All illustrations free of any creasing. Very good indeed.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
