Edinburgh: Printed by James Ballantyne Co, 1819. Finely bound example of Scott's Ballads and Lyrical Pieces. Octavo, bound in full morocco with gilt titles and elaborate gilt tooling to spine, elaborate gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, gilt turn-ins and inner dentelles, all edges gilt with a spectacular double fore-edge painting revealing scenes of Warwick Castle and Edinburgh. In very good condition with the fore-edge painting exceptionally bright and detailed.
