Number 9 Books, 1989, trade paperback with audio cassette tape in folding plastic case, 208 unnumbered pp, First Edition stated, Signed and inscribed, on a laid-in note, by the Author 'To Sue Best Wishes Alf Bicknell', The book and cassette tape are in Near Fine condition, straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings in bright pictorial card covers. There is some damage to the plastic inside the case where the cassette tape is stored, a crack to the upper edge where a bit of the plastic is missing, the interior plastic is also a bit crushed but still houses the cassette tape effectively. The 'Chauffeur to the Beatles' recalls, in diary form, his experiences as the Fab Four's driver during the height of Beatlemania on both the 1965 and 1966 world tours. On the included cassette tape Bicknell recalls a few highlights including encounters with Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan and Allen Ginsberg as well as a wonderful story about a backstage sing-along featuring George Harrison, Johnny Cash and Joan Baez.…

There is some wrinkling to the plastic overlay on the folding case which is common with this book and there is a crack to the plastic inside the case where the cassette tape is stored. The 'Chauffeur to the Beatles' recalls, in diary form, his experiences as the Fab Four's driver during the height of Beatlemania on both the 1965 and 1966 world tours. On the included cassette tape Bicknell recalls a few highlights including encounters with Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan and Allen Ginsberg as well as a wonderful story about a backstage sing-along featuring George Harrison, Johnny Cash and Joan Baez.
