London: Metheun & Co Ltd, 1962. 1st English Edition. Laminated Hard Boards. Very Good Minus. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. A classic childrens book. First English edition. 26pp with bright colourful pictures to each page. Light rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. The two upper corners are bumped. Childs name inscription in a naive hand written twice to the front paste down and name and address ( with a few words crossed through) to the rear paste down, reading 'Hawerby Hall, North Thoresby , Lincs.'. Apart from very slight occasional finger soiling to a couple of page margins, the pages are otherwsie surprisingly fresh, clean and tight. A very good copy.
