(1st) Heavy book, light brown cloth, embossed black lettering on spine, black inside covers and adjacent end papers, 184 crisp pages. Neat pencil notes and underlining up to page 53. DJ glossy orange with bars of red with white borders, slightly rubbed overall, praise on back from Lawrence Clark Powell, Clifton Fadiman, John Updike. DJ has small yellow spot at top front, slight wear at spine top left edge, tiny nick at spine bottom edge, very tiny tear at bottom back edge. Near Good DJ/Very Fine book.
