A good copy, the fore-edges of the covers are worn, the fore-edge of the back cover is very worn, part of it (nearly four inches) looks as if it might have been gnawed by a mouse, the covers are slightly soiled, and the hinges while not cracked, are a little weak. There is one additional defect: there is a space between page [8] and page 9, with what looks like a cancel stub in between these pages. The pages of the book itself are very clean and whole, not harmed by a mouse or a child whose hands might not have been clean. A word about the edition. The Bibliotheque Nationale Catalogue listed three editions, 1921, 1923, and 1930. The 1930 edition was not dated and had two fewer pages than the first two editions, 54 instead of 56 pages. To further confuse the issue there is a preface in the book which is dated 1919 explaining that the publication of the book was delayed because of the war, so that perhaps the Bibliotheque Nationale does not have the first edition..… Read More
