London: Stanley Paul & Co. First Edition. Green Cloth. Very Good Plus/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾. N/a. 386pp. No date. Presumed first editon. 8vo. A very good or very good plus, clean, tight copy in original publisher's finely ribbed green cloth boards embossed in darker green to the spine and to the front board. The text supported by numerous plates and numerous line drawings in the text. A small neat former owner's neat typed sticker to the head of the front endpaper. A couple of stain marks (or more probably foxing) to the leading margin of one of the preface pages. Very scattered foxing elsewhere. A very well preserved copy.
