This copy corresponds to the main binding cited in Scott [including no gold ornaments on either the front of the back] save that one of the illustrations appears to be missing [I only count 31 rather than the 32 Scott calls for]. Dark blue cloth with gold gilt lettering and bordered in greenish-blue, 384 pages, white endpapers, illustrated. Lost race adventure novel. Bleiler [1978 Checklist page 90]. Reginald 06525. Fair to Good at best copy [owner's name to front free endpaper, front hinge lightly cracked, frontispiece tissue guard detached but present, scattered foxing, wear/fraying to spine ends/edges plus a 1" tear at the rear corner of the spine head, and lastly, a penciled in list of the illustrations---for both the UK and US editions had been added at the bottom of the second Contents page] bx50
