An eclectic periodical, published coincident with Clark's Fulbright study and posting as Instructor in American Poetry, at the University of Essex. Scarce first issue of Maureen Owen's long-running magazine, printed at The Poetry Project in NYC; includes work by many period luminaries. Staining near bottom edge (mainly affecting front cover and first interior leaf), some spots to back cover, a bit of general reading wear and soil.

Rare wartime issue, includes the first US publication of East Coker by T. S. Eliot (preceding its separate publication by Faber and Faber as well as its appearance in Four Quartets); an essay on Jacques Maritain; and writing by Katherine Anne Porter and others. Light pencil emphases to Eliot poem (no other markings), a little fraying to spine (mainly at top), wrappers have some soil, toning and wear.

San Fransisco, Habenicht Press, 2003, staple-bound softcover, 12 pp, Limited Edition of 500 copies, First Printing stated, Signed by the Author on the half-title page, Fine condition. Straight, tight, clean and unread with no wear or markings. The result of a writing assignment given by Di Prima to her class, in which she also participated, exploring her relationship to poetry and creativity during that time.
