Port-au-Prince, 1815. unbound. 4 pages, 2 blank, 11.5 x 7.25 inches, manuscript on printed official stationery, Port-au-Prince, December 12, 1815. In this letter, Petion directs the republic's administrator of finances, authorizing a payment of a bill, in part: "Je vous invite, Citoyen administrateur, a faire ordonnoncer le compte ci-joint montant a la somme de mille six cent vingt gourdes -- faveur de Mad'me V." Some browning; closed tear on the right edge affects one word; faint damp-stain at the bottom. Good condition.
