New York City: Grove Press, 1965. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo., 455pp. Sharp Stated Fourth Printing. Square, solid and clean throughout with minimal edge-wear and a slight bump in the spine panel from the text-block but quite minor. Ownership signature on front end-paper. Attractive clipped dust-jacket has a crease and discoloration on the front flap. Some chipping to crown and fold ends. A bit of soiling. A sharp collectable copy of an early printing and at a great price.

Synopsis

The Autobiography of Malcolm X was written by Alex Haley between 1964 and 1965, as told to him through conversations with Malcolm conducted shortly before Malcolm X's death (and with an epilogue after it), and published in 1965. The book was named by Time magazine as one of the most important nonfiction books of the 20th century.
