Illustrated with black-and-white photographs, colour photographs and several illustrations from documents. (There's even a cartoon by Leunig.) Colour illustrated dustjacket. The items of furniture described and illustrated in this book very from the extremely primitive through to the confidently made products of bush carpenters and country cabinetmakers. The last section of the book deals with hobby furniture. The dust jacket has numerous short tears across the top edge and has faded on the spine section. Now protected.
