Blue coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed publisher's logo to the front book panel and gilt titles to the backstrip. Pale purple coloured tint to the top text block edge. Minor bumping and fading to the backstrip edges and book corners. Light age toning of the text block edges and internal text. Illustrated dustwrapper with orange coloured background with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. A few small closed tears to the dustwrapper edges. Darkening of the backstrip. Browning to the verso of the dustwrapper. A selection of tales and romance is from the mediaeval/Middle Ages. In many cases the tales were written in the 13th-century France. Everyman's Library number 497. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. (6), VII-XIX, (2), 2-235, (1) pages,.
