When the Jacksonville Historical Society decided to reprint these items they not only included the atlas volume but also the plat item published to cover 1872-1894. This is the first time these items appeared together and they were sold out upon publication. They searched providing not only the finest copies of the map and illustrations of the great farms. The Plat map which is even rarer allows the researcher to find out what happened in the years up to 1894 when so many left. The original surveyors (Andreas, Lyter & Co.) provided a thorough series of images of what the county was like in that turbulent period. Bound in red leather lettered in gilt, spine plain. A very good copy.
