Munich: Verlag von J.F. Lehmann, 1895. Hardcover. Foreword by Prof. Dr. Ad. v. Strumpell. 12mo. Heavily blind-embossed green cloth with gilt lettering. xxiii, 198pp, (11pp ads). Advertisement frontispiece, numerous illustrations (some color, one foldout), advertisement endpapers. Very good. Bit of homely bluish discoloration to lower edge and upper right corner of otherwise nice front board - and uniformly tight, clean and attractive throughout; ownership signature on front flyleaf. A tight and decent first edition of the ninth volume in the "Lehmann's Medicinische Hand-Atlanten" series, entirely in German. Rough title translation: "Atlas of the Healthy and Sick Nervous Systems Together with Outlines of Anatomy, Pathology and Therapy." The color plates and color foldout of the human brain are superb. Despite mild and inoffensive discoloration noted, a fairly nice copy. Jakob (1866-1956) was an influential German-born neurobiologist and psychiatrist who spent most of his long life in Argentina.
