Simon & Schuster, New York, 1972. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Poor. acknowledgements, bibliography and index. Map endpapers, both different, front and paper showing European theatre of war 1939-1945, rear endpapers: showing Pacific War Theatre 1941-1945. Black coloured boards with gilt facsimile signature on the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the spine. Bumping to the bottom corners of the book along with shelf wear. Bumping to the head and heel of spine with browning and grubby marks to the paper edges. Cloth has some dust marks. Photographic dustwrapper showing Winston Churchill, Stalin and Truman sitting on a bench, with red wash overlay and black decoration with white coloured background and yellow and white coloured titles to the front panel and yellow coloured titles to the back strip. The dustwrapper is really in awful shape, there is chipping and pieces missing from the top edge and chipping to the bottom edge. Dustwrapper is also quite faded and has grubby marks. There is a 3" tear along the top front fold over crease, down. An analysis of post World War II diplomacy, warfare, Cold War etc. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 544 pages.
