Book Inscribed by person(s) connected with book. Limited Edition facsimile reprint of Robert's first novel in its first state, including the reproduction of the famously rare first state dust jacket with Stafford Good's illustration. It is reproduced in a larger format than the 20 cm original. This is copy #736/1000, numbered and signed by Commission officers on the limitation page. Size: 9" -11" - Small Quarto (Sm. 4to). 618 pages. Item Type: Book. Text block is tight, bright and unmarked. Bound in dark blue cloth with a bright silver decoration and title on the front cover and silver title on the spine. Corners are sharp. Light shelf wear along the bottom edges of the boards. The unclipped ($25) dust jacket has a couple of small closed tears at the top edge of the rear panel and rear flap. There is wear with surface loss at the corners of the front panel and head of the spine. As is often the case, the bright colors of the front panel are slightly sun-faced on the spine. The jacket is now protected by a clear archival Brodart sleeve. Quantity Available: 1.
