The Falcon Press, 1946. Very Good. First edition. 8vo. With b/w plates. Black cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Spotting to fore-edge and endpapers, occasional fox-spot to text block. Else, clean and tight. In good original DJ (in clear protective cover) - toned, nicking to spine ends, closed tear (2cm) and wrinkling to front bottom edge. Dedicated to Herbert Read. A polymath, Comfort is perhaps best known for his best-selling 'Joy of Sex' (1972), but, like Read, also contributed to British anarchist political thought and life.
