Second-hand copy, dust jacket chipped with loss of the head and tail of the spine, and bottom left-hand corner of the rear panel, price clipped. Original bookseller's name sticker at the bottom right-hand corner of the front paste down. Colour frontispiece, and the first 144 pages is the text, giving a background, and then looking at the breakup of the academic tradition, moving on towards expressionism, and then abstraction, super realism. Indexed. The remainder of the book is 192 black-and-white plates reproducing artwork. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 144, 192 pages. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
