Plate IV has an bright orange washed background and plate VI has a brown wash.Page [2] initialed by Leonard Baskin."Twenty-eight hundred portfolios of Leonard Baskin's Ars anatomica were printed for the members of Editions Medicina Rara, Ltd. at The Curwen Press Ltd., London, England, on a specially made paper bearing the private watermark of Medicina Rara and manufactured by E. Towgood & Sons, Sawston, Cambridgeshire, England. The plates for the printing were made from thirteen original drawings, commissioned by Medicina Rara expressly for this purpose. Three hundred double suites have been placed in boxed portfolios and covered in one-quarter leather and linen,and have been numbered in roman numerals I-CCC. Twenty-five hundred single suites have been placed in boxed portfolios covered in a Bugra laid paper, and have been numbered in arabic numerals 1-2500. The portfolio boxes were created at the bindery of Richard Mayer, Stuttgart, West Germany."--Page [2].
