An appreciation of composer Arnold Schönberg (1874-1951). The author, I.I. Sollertinskii, was a Leningrad music critic and director of the Leningrad Philharmonic. An association copy, with the collection stamp of Erich Itor Kahn and Frida Kahn on the title page. Erich Itor Kahn was a German-born composer strongly influenced by Schönberg.

This booklet, printed entirely in Russian, had a print run of 3,300. However, OCLC shows only a single institutional holding, at Harvard (while the New York Public Library has a copy on microfilm). RARE.

CONDITION: Wrappers soiled and nicked, lower third of upper wrapper split, pages 3-14 loose (separated from the text block), large crease to lower wrapper. Internally, clean and unmarked. About Good.
