Tissue guards and 5 colored fould out maps present one 1 inch closed (recent) tear to the Warrenton map. The rest appear ok and the text is clean and bright. No marks or marginala. The front gutter is split with a previous repair attempt. Also the previous owners book plate has beem blacked out, There is a name in pencil on FEP. There is chipping to head and tail of spine. Still over all a Good solid copy of the scarce first edition.537pp including index.
