Volume I: xxv, 312 pp, publisher's preface, list of b&w illustrations from photographs taken by the author, prologue, 15 chapters, index. Volume II: 288 pp, list of b&w illustrations from photographs taken by the author, 21 chapters, epilogue, index. The two volumes contain both of Wilson's (the former Keeper of the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard University) works: Aristocrats of the Garden and More Aristocrates of the Garden. Ex Library copies whose only external marking is the Call No. stamped on spine + a Date Due plate on ffep and a pocket on rear pastedown. Only the slightest wear to head, tail, fore-edge tips, and faintly age-toned endpapers, else, Pristine. Clean, tight and strong binding with no underlining, highlighting or marginalia. Green cloth with gilt lettering and gilt top edge..
