Philadelphia: Edmund Morris, 1831. Hardcover. Good -. 400 p., 12 leaves of engraved plates: illustrations; 26 cm. Modern spine of bonded leather, with gilt-tooled spine label. Contemporary marbled paper over boards. Older repair of hinges. Error in pagination: adjacent but different pages are numbered 306 and 307. Contains poetry, fiction, and nonfiction (generally travel accounts), some reprinted from other sources and some original, as well as social news, most often from Philadelphia. In Good- Condition: lacking frontispiece engraving of Nazareth, Pa., and upper third of pp. 17-18 and 31-32; old repair of pp. 397-98; final leaf (p. 399-400) is detached but present; 2 closed tears from fore-edge; scattered foxing and soiling, each heavy on occasion. Very scarce.
