Internal evidence suggest that Architectural Practice in Mexico City, was written between 1794 and 1812. With the exception of Fray Lorenzo San Nicolas, the author mentions none of the Renaissance builders who had been so influential in previous centuries. Although Fran Lorenzo presented resumes of the teachings of the great architects of his period, the author recommends Fray Lorenzo for his elucidation of "Tomas Tosca's treatise on geometry and for his expiation of the technical terms of the profession. The only other book on architecture he lists was one by "Uvolfio." Condition: Near fine.
