The author surveys Korean prehistory from the earliest Paleolithic settlers, perhaps half a million years ago, through the formation of the Three Kingdoms and on to the creation of United Silla in AS 668, when the peninsula was largely united for the first time. While much of the material comes from the Republic of Korea, the north is considered as far as sources permit. A near fine copy bound in very pale lavender cloth, spine lettering gilt over blue, in a very good dust jacket with a wrinkle to bottom edge.
