Unclipped dustwrapper has quite a lot of creasing and small tears to the edges, some shelf-wear to bottom edge of black boards, some foxing to outer edge of pages, and the book does smell of being shut away in a cupboard for a long time. But otherwise a good tight copy of this hard-cover book dealing with the use of mines at sea in the two World Wars, and with a look at earlier attempts. 256pp, 16 b&w illustrations.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

SIGNED AND DATED BY THE AUTHOR ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER. Elegant copy of one of the best single-volume histories of mine warfare; about half the work is devoted to British and German mine warfare in WWII. Still a relatively under-writen aspect of WWI and WWII. SIGNED COPIES BY THIS AUTHOR ARE VERY SCARCE. Law 0839.
