The book is bound in its original green cloth with gilt titles on the spine and front cover. Decorated end papers. Jeffrey Norton's copy with his bookplate. Light edge wear to the cloth, a fisheries department library rubber stamp to the verso of the frontis, hinges (inner) cracked, otherwise a bright, clean very good book. .

A wonderful copy. A gift from the President of Cornell University, Jacob Gould Schurman (who also served as U.S. Ambassador to Greece, China and Germany) as noted by a printed tipped-in slip on the f.e.p.
