This is a review copy, stamped as such opposite the half-title, with copious pencil annotations on the rear endpaper, likely by the reviewer. Octavo. Original green boards, spine lettered in black, front cover with black decorative design by Rex Whistler, top edge blue, others untrimmed. With dust jacket. Spine ends slightly bumped, a near-fine copy, clean and bright, in the like dust jacket, slightly toned, nick to head of spine panel, not price-clipped. Cross & Ravenscroft-Hulme A.18(a).
