Size: 4to - over 9.75 - 12" tall. xii + 283pp. Binding firm, with minor wear to spine. Slight foxing front/rear pages, but body of book mostly clean and unfoxed. Edges foxed and browned. Nelson's history has been written from every possible angle, but this is not so with his ships. Such information as there is about the ships is buried in contemporary books on Naval Architecture; only the expert can sift it and present it in a usable form. In doing this, Longridge's work becomes a veritable treasure trove for the naval historian and ship modeller. Contains 76 plates, 183 figures, and 12 plans including some fold-outs. Illustrator: G.
