Fine exhibition catalog from a show that ran in five cities from 1981 and 1982. Duotone illustration at the front cover, then special acknowledgments by Michael J. Fox at the Heard Museum, then a page of fine black-and-white cameo photographs of mary Hemenway, Jesse Walter Fewkes, Alexander M. Stephen, Frank Hamilton Cushing and Thomas V. Keam. A fine monograph devoted to Hopi pottery, primitive ware, polychrome, orange colored ware, red ware, cream-colored ware, transition ware, and more modern productions. Full bibliography and glossary.
