Quarto (275x190mm) quarter bound bnd blue cloth over grey-blue pictorial cloth boards, 44pp. Five full page colour photographs of Fuller's Grand Restaurant and New Establishment in Regent Street and a number of colour photographs of Fuller's sweets, cakes, baskets and caskets, and chocolates.
Boards lightly soiled, edges a trifle rubbed and fore-edge corners slightly bruised, internally near fine.
In 1889. William Fuller, an American producer of cakes and sweets, after a succesful international exhibition, established a shop in Oxford St. The business took on partners and grew quickly. In the 1890s Fuller's went public. By 1897 a number of shops, including in the Strand and Regent St, and a factory in Hammersmith were established. After World War I, Fuller's was taken over by Rowntree.
An interesting glimpse of late Victorian/Edwardian confectionery sales and marketing.
