First Edition of this epistolary account of the British military expedition from Canada during the American Revolution. Anburey attempts to vindicate, in a series of 79 letters, the British surrender at Saratoga. Much of the early correspondence is addressed from Quebec and Montreal, most of the second volume from military prisons in Virginia and Maryland.
