Quarto, color photo-illustrated stiff self-wraps. 304pp. Truly profusely illustrated throughout with hundreds of color and black and white photographs of the author's photojournalistic journey throught the underclass of poverty and discrimination in 20th century America, SIGNED BY JACOB HOLDT on title page. Laid in is a five page "brochure" describing the author's "show" of American Pictures (which won a standing ovation at Cannes) and outlining his views on the "disease" of oppression and including an original order form for the book with an account of the book's production and struggle to be published in English. A very tight, clean, fresh volume with a touch of rubbing at corners, else fine. Very square, tight, clean, unmarked and with a flat uncreased spine. Near Fine. UNCOMMON..
