Clean, tightly bound hardback book, boards slightly bowed, a little foxing on endpapers, no inscriptions, in an unclipped dustjacket which is rubbed at edges and foldovers, chipped at spine ends and foldovers, creased at bottom edge of back cover and has a short closed tear at bottom of front cover. Unpaginated (60 pages), illustrations in the text and on endpapers by S.B. Pearce .

Internally very near fine, with text and colour pictures on opposite pages throughout; the boards are slightly worn at the corners, with some very light rubbing on the edges. In sum, a very decent copy of this prewar children's book, the twelfh in the Ameliaranne series.
