Good+ (ex-library w/ stamps to textblock edges, spine IDs & usual markings, etc. light, moisture like staining & speckling to upper textblock; appears to be no internal damage. cloth has scuffs & scratches; light rubbing to edges). blue cloth w/ gilt emblem & spine printing. 1,016 pgs total w/ bw frontispieces. no dustjackets. text in English. From a college library. Only volume one has removal stamp on due-date card. A few Instances of random, pencil scribbles, otherwise, volumes appear clean. "As the principal representative of Russia's greatest ally in Europe, M. Paléologue had easy access to all the major political figures associated with the court of Nicholas II, including Nicholas himself, the Empress Alexandra, Grand Duke Nicholas, the Montenegrin sisters, Anna Vyroubova, Foreign Minister Sazonov, and, of course, Rasputin.
