There are tears to the head & tail of the spine and the rear wrap is detached. 314 pages. There is a small stain to the fore-edge. The contents are very good. Fair. <p>From the library of the Alpine Club with the club's stamp on the front wrap, half-title and title, purchased from arts consultant and mountain climber George Alan Smith. A typed slip mounted on the half title states: "Presented by Sydney Spencer, Esq. 1944."<p>A title in "Collection Montagne", a series of previously unpublished or untranslated works on mountaineering. The text is in French.
