David Rowbotham was born in Toowoomba, Queensland in 1924 and educated at the Toowoomba Grammar School and the universities of Queensland and Sydney. During WWII he served as a wireless operator with the RAAF, after which he worked as a teacher and journalist. He taught at the university of Queensland from 1965 to 1969. His poems have won three major national awards and are represented in more than a hundred anthologies in Australia and abroad. From the 1000+ volume private collection of well-known Australian poet and author Guy Weller all of which are listed or will soon be listed on this site. Includes many hardcover Collected Poems from sought-after 20th century poets from all countries.
