New York / London: D. Appleton and Company, 1927. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Clara Elsene Peck. A Christmas play set in a wealthy home with "colorful dialogue", it is attractive for both reading and acting with a cast of eighteen. Cloth backed decorative boards, title printed in green onto paste-down label, glossy illustrated endpapers, 12mo (7-3/8 inches [18.8 cm] tall), pp. (ii), 58, with "(1)" printed at foot of last page indicating a first printing. Volume with light edge wear and some small splash marks to the first few pages, else unmarked. Price-intact DJ is soiled with a few chips and small tears. Credited artwork by Clara Elsene Peck on the DJ and glossy duo-tone endpapers, [who] "... was a member of the American Watercolor Society, exhibited extensively and won many awards." Reed (2001) p. 111.
