1939. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS: The Story of How More Than One Hundred Men Have Recovered from Alcoholism. New York: Works Publishing Company, 1939. First edition, first printing. An association copy, it belonged to Bill Wilson's brother-in-law, Rogers Burnham, and his wife, Laura. Rogers Burnham was Bill Wilson's best man when he married Burnham's sister. An ownership inscription on the front pastedown and flyleaf, by both Rogers and Laura Burham, states: October 1940 / from "Bill." This is about as fine a copy as you are likely to see, in a bright dust-jacket with some edgewear and tape reinforcement on the verso.
