Stated first edition no date, (c1962) (1952 lightly penned under copyright but this would not be correct. ) Beautiful tan board w orange cloth spine, soft ends, lightly rubbed edges, DJ is bright, general wear to edges, front fold has a bit more paint missing but over all an exceptionally nice cover in a new Broadart cover. The authors first book includes a prefatory essay, Drawn from his own experience the author writes a story of Nigeria and of a primitive community newly exposed to revolutionary ideas. First published in 1932 it is rich with characters and incidents giving a remarkable picture of the native mind with its cruel logic, sensuality, superstition.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall .
