Text is clean and unmarked n a square and tight binding. Card holder is attached to the back inside cover. A Date Due label is attached to the back free end paper. Black and white photos included. Binding has some smudging. "At the outbreak of war in 1914 there was no such thing as combat aircraft. A few hardy men had tried firing weapons from some aircraft just to see if it could be done, but the main interest in aviation was to see how long the plane could stay up or how fast it could fly, with indifferent success in both areas."

Text block only slightly tanned, mostly around the edges. With many black and white photographs of aircraft. Scarce.
