Text clean and unmarked except for usual library treatments. Illustrated with photographs in b/w throughout the text. Blue-green cloth boards illustrated at front in black, with white and gilt borders and lettered in gilt. White borders lettered in gilt at spine. Boards with 3" x 2" stain at lower back boardscorners and spine top and tail rubbed, front board slightly cocked. Hinges starting to crack, joints good, textblock intact and stable.

The Religious Tract Society, 1901. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Gold and white gilt on blue boards, though there is no gilt on the illustration on the lower front board. The boards are edge worn, but remain strong and square. Internally, the end pages are tanned and there is an ink marking under the front board. There are no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are crisp, clean and complete. Well bound and in excellent condition considering its age! JK.
