It is a story of raids and counter-raids and the seemingly endless disputes between Texas and Mexico centered on the borderlands between the Nueces and the Rio Grande. Although neither Texas nor Mexico had the money and organization to launch a full war, the years 1836-1841 saw many small conflicts and skirmishes. This book was the first history to use original primary sources to tell the story of Texas-Mexico relations during these years. With 16 illustrations and 4 fold-out maps. All fold-out maps present.
